 Depending on your child’s goals, we will place them in one of our fun recreational classes or in our fast-paced developmental classes. Most children start in recreational classes, and are invited to advance after showing completion of the skills for their level. If your child has previous gymnastics experience, we will schedule an evaluation to determine the appropriate placement. All classes are subject to availability. Please see class descriptions and registration details below.

Summer Camp Schedule

This is a fun introduction to gymnastics open to both boys and girls ages 5-12 years old. Summer camp focuses on learning the fundamentals of gymnastics such as cartwheels, handstands, and other beginner skills. Gymnasts will gain strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence. We will also be doing group games and activities throughout the week.

June 20-August 12. M-F 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, at our Santa Barbara Gymnasium.

$480 per session

Classes offered at both our Santa Barbara and Goleta Valley locations.

1:6 Pre-school Coach-to-gymnast ratio.

1:8 Bronze and Silver Class Coach-to-gymnast ratio.

1:10 All other classes Coach-to-gymnast ratio.

All gymnasts and staff will wear masks and complete a health screening each day.

Registration Fee: $35 / child

Advance registration is required. Space is limited to maintain the appropriate student-to-instructor ratio during the pandemic.

A registration application and release form must be signed by a parent/guardian for all participants.

Girls Inc. Gymnastics has knowledgeable, energetic, and positive coaches who are great role models for our gymnasts.

All of our coaches are at least 18 years of age, successfully pass a background check, and receive a health screening before beginning employment.

Our coaches are also CPR and First Aid Certified, safety-trained, and participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date on the latest drills and techniques.

All of our team coaches are also USAG Safety Certified.

The Girls Inc. Gymnastics facilities at 531 E. Ortega Street and 4973 Hollister Avenue are some of the best in all of Santa Barbara County. Our equipment includes:

  • 40 x 40 ft. AAI Spring Floor
  • AAI International ELITE Vault Table
  • Three AAI Classic Balance Beams
  • Two AAI Classic Low Balance Beams
  • One Speith Anderson Competition Beam
  • Two Sets of AAI Elite Uneven Bars
  • A Stall Bar Workstation with Rings
  • A 24 x 20, 6 ft. Deep Foam Pit with Pit Bar

Instruction may be moved outdoors depending upon pandemic conditions and county guidelines.

 

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS & FEES

Bronze
Bronze

This co-ed class is appropriate for beginner gymnasts. An all-boys tumbling class at this level is also available at our Santa Barbara location.

Fees: $80 per 4-week month

Location:

Santa Barbara and Goleta Valley facilities. Classes may, at times, be conducted outdoors to comply with Santa Barbara County and CDC COVID-19 guidelines.

Class Length:

This class is 60-minutes.

This introductory gymnastics class is open to both boys and girls. The class focuses on learning the fundamentals of gymnastics such as cartwheels, handstands, and other beginner skills. Gymnasts will gain strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence in our Bronze level class.

Silver
Silver

Participants must have completed the Bronze class and have been evaluated for successful demonstration of all of the skills listed on the Bronze Progression Skill chart.

Fees: $90 per 4-week month

Location:

Santa Barbara and Goleta Valley facilities. Classes may, at times, be conducted outdoors to comply with Santa Barbara County and CDC COVID-19 guidelines.

Class Length:

This class is 90-minutes.

This class will introduce more advanced skills while focusing on building strength and flexibility. At this level, the gymnast can enroll in either 1, 2, or 3 days a week although a minimum of 2 days per week is recommended.

Gold Non-Competitive
Gold Non-Competitive

This is an advanced-level class.

Fees: $95 per 4-week month

Location:

Santa Barbara facility. Classes may, at times, be conducted outdoors to comply with Santa Barbara County and CDC COVID-19 guidelines.

Class Length:

This class is 120-minutes.

This two-hour advanced level class is for gymnasts who have completed the Bronze classes and have been evaluated for successful demonstration of all the skills listed on the Bronze and Silver Progression Skill Charts. This class is designed for gymnasts who want to keep working on developing skills but do not want to be a competitive level gymnast. Gymnasts will continue gaining strength and flexibility while starting to combine skills.

Gold Competitive

This two-hour advanced level class has a two day-per-week mandatory requirement.

Fees: $175 per 4-week month

Location:

Goleta Valley facility. Classes may, at times, be conducted outdoors to comply with Santa Barbara County and CDC COVID-19 guidelines.

Class Length:

This class is 120-minutes.

This class is for gymnasts who have completed the Bronze and Silver classes and have been evaluated for successful demonstration of all the skills listed on the Bronze and Silver Progression Skill Charts. Gymnasts will keep working on developing skills and working towards advancement, including our pre-competitive and competitive programs. Gymnasts will continue gaining strength and flexibility while starting to combine skills.

Pre-Team

This is an advanced class. Gymnasts are required to participate for 3 hours, twice per week.

Fees: $190 per 4-week month

Santa Barbara facility. Classes may, at times, be conducted outdoors to comply with Santa Barbara County and CDC COVID-19 guidelines.

Class Length:

This class is 180-minutes.

In the Pre-Team class, gymnasts have mastered all gymnastics skills for the recreational levels (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and have been evaluated as successfully completing the skills required for invitation into this class. Gymnasts participating in Pre-Team have made the commitment to work towards participating on the Competitive Team. Pre-Team has a strong emphasis on strength, flexibility, and achieving performance-quality routines.

The Girls Inc. Gymnastics competitive team requires a high level of dedication and drive.

Fees: $240-$320 per month

Location:

The competitive team practices at the Santa Barbara facility (all levels.) Classes may, at times, be conducted outdoors to comply with Santa Barbara County and CDC COVID-19 guidelines.

We train gymnasts ages 6-17 in levels 3-10. Gymnasts are invited to join the team after certain skills and proficiencies have been mastered. Our team gymnasts have competed throughout Southern California and have also qualified for State and Regional Championships in Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.

Our team gymnasts train in a positive, pro-girl, and empowering environment. We strive to make our team gymnasts not only strong athletes, but happy, healthy, and confident girls and young women.

Team coaches come from competitive gymnastics backgrounds and have several years of coaching and judging experience. Please contact the Gym to schedule an evaluation or to learn more about the competitive program.

Gymnastics has definitely impacted who I am as a person. I have learned through conditioning, hard work, and long practices that teach me how to push through to achieve my goals. I am stronger emotionally because of competing (which can be pretty nerve racking!) and learning how to face my fears.
