Each day after school, girls at our licensed childcare centers enjoy quality, structured, educational and research-based enrichment programs designed to instill the specific knowledge, skills, and attitudes girls need to thrive. Girls are transported to our centers in Girls Inc. vans from more than 30 local schools. Each quarter (generally 10 weeks long), girls in Kindergarten-8th grades select classes from our programming schedule. Classes are designed for specific age groups and include science and math, literacy, sports, art, cooking, library skills, computers, performing arts, and much more. Classes are developmentally appropriate and implemented by caring, qualified, and trained professionals with a 14:1 girl-to-staff ratio so that each girl gets personalized attention. Each day after their Girls Inc. classes are over, girls finish their day by working on school homework with the aid of our instructors and volunteers.
During the summer school break, Girls Inc. offers an exciting Summer Adventure Program, which operates 7:30AM-6PM Monday-Friday. Girls have fun in an all-girl environment as they gain new skills, engage in experiential learning activities, and explore their creativity. Girls participate in daily classes as well as adventurous field trips and team-building activities that help enforce and apply lessons learned in their classes. Additional focus is on self-confidence, communication, leadership development, and team-building skills.
Program offerings include science, sports, literacy, dance, art, computers, gardening, gymnastics, leadership, cooking, and much more. The Summer Adventure Program is implemented by caring, trained professionals with a 14:1 girl to staff ratio.
Girls may register for anywhere from one week to all nine weeks of Summer Adventure Camp, depending upon available openings at the time of registration.
