of Greater Santa Barbara

Currently, our volunteer program is on hold for health and safety reasons. We look forward to welcoming new volunteers once it is safe to do so; thank you so much for your patience, and for your interest in empowering girls in our community.

Each year Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara relies on community volunteers to help fulfill its mission of inspiring girls to be strong, smart, and bold. We seek people who share our vision for a future where girls use their voices to confidently overcome the challenges of gender bias and stereotypes so they may grow up healthy, educated, and economically independent leaders in our community, free from gender inequity, harassment, and violence. If empowering girls to fulfill their highest potential motivates you, check out these different opportunities to get involved.

2. Provide Proof of Immunization

Proof of immunization can be submitted via email or dropped off at our administration office in person. Youth volunteers referred to Girls Inc. by their schools are not required to provide proof of immunization.

We hold monthly one-hour orientation and interview sessions throughout the school year at our Santa Barbara Center. You will receive information about upcoming sessions after completing your application and submitting proof of immunization (where applicable).

For more information on volunteering, contact info@girlsincsb.org or call (805) 963-4757.

If I help even one girl grow in confidence and improve basic reading and math skills, then I have done something worthwhile.
