Maile: Gymnastics Makes Me Fearless

SHARE

Maile, a member of the Girls Inc. competitive team, first started taking gymnastics at Girls Inc. when she was 10 years old. That was the year she learned how to do a front handspring on the vault. Gymnastics has helped her become fearless when she tries new skills, both in and out of the gym.

“Because of gymnastics, any sport I’ve tried has been easy for me. This sport makes you mentally and physically strong.”

The physical and mental benefits developed through gymnastics carry into academic performance, and promote the development of a balanced and healthy life while teaching hard work, perseverance, dedication, and resilience.

Maile credits her success in the gym and the impact Girls Inc. gymnastics has had on her to her coach, Shelby, and to her former teammate, Lauren.

Girls Inc. has the best coaches, and supportive teammates. I choose to spend most of my free time here.
