SHARE

Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara is pleased to announce that effective July 1, 2020, Stephanie Lopez Lozano will serve as the organization’s new Health and Safety Coordinator.

The Health and Safety Coordinator is a new position at Girls Inc., created to initially guide the organization in its preparedness and compliance with COVID-19 procedures and best practices to ensure the safety of all staff and girls served. In her new role, Stephanie will also assume responsibility for oversight of the organization’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), which was revised in 2019, and its related components including training, drills, and supplies.

Additionally, she will manage Girls Inc.’s external relationships with emergency preparedness groups and first responder organizations.

Stephanie joined Girls Inc. as a program facilitator in 2019. She recently graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Feminist Studies. She is excited to grow into this new role that will not only help keep the youth and her coworkers safer but will also allow her to interact more broadly with the surrounding Santa Barbara community. She hopes to keep growing her knowledge to empower those around her.

I’m hoping to establish health and safety protocols that not only advance our organization but also help our surrounding community.
