Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara presents the 34th Annual Scholarship Event on Sunday, May 5th at 6PM at the Goleta Valley & Teen Center, 4973 Hollister Avenue. Event proceeds provide scholarship assistance so that any girl, regardless of her family’s financial situation, can participate in Girls Inc.’s transformational programs.
Emmy-award winning journalist and KEYT anchor Beth Farnsworth will lead a lively panel discussion with current and former Girls Inc. girls about the lasting impact of their Girls Inc. experiences.
The panel includes:
- Captain Marylinda Arroyo, Santa Barbara Police Department
- Marsha Kotlyar, Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate Agent
- Roz, 10th grade
- Fiona, 5th grade
Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara awarded $477,233 of financial assistance in sliding scale scholarships and sibling discounts in 2018. This assistance made it possible for 461 girls to attend Girls Inc.’s after-school and CAMP IGNITE summer programs last year.
