Girls Inc. Gymnastics is offering several alternate programming options this fall during the pandemic to help ensure youth have opportunities for physical movement in a safe environment.

Goleta Valley Center

Beginning August 31, Girls Inc. Gymnastics will offer recreational gymnastics classes at the Girls Inc. Goleta Valley Center, 4973 Hollister Avenue. The expansion is in response to COVID-19 and the need to stagger classes to allow for more time in-between for increased disinfection protocols. A modified number of classes will continue to be offered at the main Gym at 531 E. Ortega Street.

Recreational gymnastics classes at both centers will be offered outdoors, with participants in smaller groups, to accommodate social distancing requirements.

Girls Inc.’s competitive gymnastics team will also split its time between the Santa Barbara and Goleta Valley locations for outdoor skills practice and conditioning.

Virtual Gymnastics

Virtual introductory and intermediate classes are also available this fall. These 30-minute classes will focus on the fundamentals of movement, flexibility, and coordination, as well as more advanced strength and conditioning. All virtual classes are led by a Girls Inc. Gymnastics coach.

Requirements: a wireless connection, a 6ft x 6ft clear space,  and access to household items such as a chair, pillow, towel, socks, broom, etc.

Gym on Wheels (GOW)

Yes, we come to you! Small pods of 3-5 gymnasts with one coach. Girls Inc. is finalizing the logistics of the GOW program. Stay tuned for details and a start date.
