Meet our New Goleta Valley Center Leaders

Anne Vierra, Center Director, Goleta Valley

Originally from Upstate New York, Anne has called the Santa Barbara area home since 1982. With a background in education and psychology, she most recently served at the Goleta Boys & Girls Club, where she started its after-school program from scratch. Anne has a dedicated history of serving youth and young adults and of mentoring staff who work in youth-focused careers.

Brenda Mendoza Alamo, Assistant Center Director, Goleta Valley

Brenda is a Seattle native who loves good coffee and vibrant greenery. She received her BA in Psychology from Seattle University and since then has worked for various nonprofits committed to racial and gender equity. Passionate about youth development and the arts, Brenda spent a year in Boston, MA, as a teaching artist with a focus on art as a means of personal and community transformation. In her free time she enjoys reading about astrology, traveling, live music, and painting.
